Memories

Created by Davina one year ago

So many memories of having trained together as podiatrists then both working for Islington NHS for many years. Great fun was had as we were always rostered together making our leather lined latex dipped appliances. Proper old school where our boss brought us tea and biscuits on a tray at 4pm on the dot.

We were both younger, free and single and there was a lot of laughter. My daftest memory was at a colleagues flat one evening after work drinks where we ended up tobogganing down his stairs on a tray as if we were competing in the olympics. I swear Jan was ringing a cowbell but oh how we laughed that night.

I was with her on New Years Eve ‘97 when I met my husband and we shared many an evening in Florians in Crouch End.

I will remember Jan for her sharp wit, resemblance to Audrey Hepburn, her quirky tights, her love of cats (Gregory Pegory) and her adventurous nature.

She lived her best and a most interesting life. Yet had so much more to live. Rest In Peace ✨
